Fore Deck
- The deck line is clean and handsome. It
begins with the forward jackstaff and the 9" x 20" blue and white
Chris-Craft pennant. The spacious bow area is
protected with a stainless steel bow and side rail.
Just back from the clipper bow is a large built-in
cushioned bench seat for sunning and relaxing. This
forward sun deck is the ideal place to enjoy the sun and
wind or lay back and read a book.
The round hatch in the deck, provides ventilation to the Forward Guest
Cabin, The glass in the hatch is protected with a
chromed bronze grate.
Independence is equipped with a large Ideal 316
stainless steel vertical-shaft electric anchor windless
and two hi-tensile Danford anchors with separate anchor
rode hawse pipes with chrome covers to store the anchor
rode below. The anchor windless in controlled by a heavy duty
Imtra deck switch with chrome bezel.
Just back from the hawse pipes is a
traditional Samson post. This sturdy point is used
to belay anchor rode and dock lines.
The straight
run tightly seamed natural teak deck provides superior traction
and good looks. The port and starboard sides of the teak deck
planking are neatly nibbed into the center king
plank.

Facing forward toward the bow from the starboard
side.
Side Deck -
The seamed natural teak deck and varnished mahogany hand
/ Taff rails stretch all the way around the broad walk-around side decks from the bow to the stern.
The polished chrome and stainless steel hardware
are all original.
