ControlsControls - The controls station in the wheelhouse mix modern technology with the charm of a bygone age.

The smartly styled Chris-Craft controls panel features a chrome and mahogany, "Constellation" style ship's wheel.  The Helm Station has flush mounted controls, which include two Morse, duel function, single lever throttle / transmission, controls.  The electrical switches are all from Cole & Hersee and equipped with metal and plastic name / ID plates.  The engines are well monitored with large face, back lit, Stewart Warner instrumentation and alarm system. The twin GM diesels engines run as one through the use of a Glendinning twin engine synchronizer. The synchronizer helps
reduce fuel consumption, increase speed and eliminate propeller induced vibration.

Three large windshield panels provide excellent visibility and an unobstructed view.

The overhead navigation cabinet contains an advanced integrated Raytheon digital marine electronic system.   The electronics include, Raytheon R20xx radar with a Closed Dome Array & Mount, Raytheon 601 GPS & Chart Plotter w/DGPS 200, Raytheon RayData, Depth, Speed & Water Temperature w/Bronze through-hull transducer and the original Bendix autopilot system.  The panel indicator lights monitor the status of the four Rule 2000 bilge pumps.

Basic navigational direction is provided by the Wilfrid O. White horizontal surface mounted compass that has a 6" flat card mounted just forward of the helm and below eye level.  The compass features a saucer-shaped card supported by jewel pivots.  The black card with white 5° graduation markings makes reading easy whatever the angle even from afar.  It has a red night-light and four, 45°-lubber lines mounted at 90°.  The compass has four built-in compensators that permit correction of reading errors for magnetic deviation or magnetic objects located near the compass.  The compass housing is chromed brass and equipped with an articulated hood that slides shut.

To the left of the Helm station is the navigation station that offers ample room to spread out charts and navigation supplies.

The original mahogany interior joinery in the helm area has been retained and refurbished.
