Longport, NJ to St. Michaels, MD - round trip

Welcome to the Log Book entries for Independence's trip from Longport, NJ to St. Michaels, MD. The plan for Independence was to cruise South along Atlantic coast to Cape May, NJ. At Cape May Independence turned North and proceed to the Chesapeake & Delaware Canal (C&D). Independence then traverse the C&D into the Chesapeake Bay and turned South heading to St. Michaels, MD

In preparation for the trip the boat was re-provisioned. All of the boats systems were inspected, tested and gone over several times to insure that everything was in proper working condition.

  • The boat will lay-up in a marina during bad weather or high seas.
  • No alcoholic beverage consumption while underway.
  • The Owner and Captain have designated the entire trip to be a "Smoking" trip.  Smoking is permitted on board except when taking on fuel.
